100% free method of using any laptop to stream your GoPro8, GoPro Max, iPhone or Android into OBS or use as a webcam into ZOOM.us without using cloud servers - just your local home network.

First, apologies for the scruffiness and the very bad cutting and editing. Everything was done in one day, and well, this is week four of lockdown without a haircut.

TL;DR

So, this is a way to create an RTMP server on your laptop using Docker Desktop and feed that into FFPlay and create a virtual camera using CamTwist. You can then use your GoPro8 or MAX to stream to it. Zoom will pick up the virtual camera and allow you to use it as a webcam!

Also, stream MULTIPLE cameras at the same time and switch between them. The NGINX / RTMP Module has this capability. Look in the RTMP wiki on how to configure that for more features.

This can also all be placed onto a server on the cloud, a kubernetes cluster or anything else to scale up. You can have the RTMP server also automatically feed YouTube /Twitch / etc... without even coming to your computer too. Lot's of possibilities.
