How to Step Vault #4 – Forward Direction
The main purpose of the step vault is to get over the obstacle in a straight line with the most safety. The part that gets forgotten about sometimes is that you need to be moving forwards primarily.
Drive that back leg through and REACH for the ground with that foot. You want to be able to enter and exit the vault in a straight line.
More often than not I'll see students rotating about their arm thats on the wall. This IS part of the movement, but not the only part. Going forwards (and backwards) needs to be practiced most.
