How to Land #02 – Focus

Focal Points

Keep your eye on a specific point of the landing. This will help to eliminate outside distractions and the peripheral vision from pulling your attention away.
Practice the basics as if they're advanced. Maintain visual contact with your mark for the entire jump.

When performing maximum-ability fear-based jumps, our attention will want to move from 'fight' mode to 'flight' mode. The flight mode will use any excuse to stop you from doing the jump. By using a focal point, you're reducing the amount of excuses your sympathetic nervous system can use.

There are occasions when you also jump and 'blackout' for a fraction of a second as the fear goes to maximum. By having a focus point, you can negate this effect.
